Pictures

Here are a few things I saw and liked during my last two days in Athens:

Who knew the Caryatids had such pretty hair?

OMG Teh Etruscans! In Greece!

I felt like this woman was turning into Cthulhu.

Surreal.

The Parthenon floor in the new Acropolis Museum.

Love the pictures. We STILL haven't been to the New Museum. This week for sure. For real this time.

I like when you post photos, it makes it easier for us not-every-day internet users to catch up :) Awesome pics, the scarface one deserves a full essay of explication at some point in my life...

We went today and had mixed feelings about it, I just posted in LJ about this. You were right about most things. The glass floor was cool though, way cool.

We weren't allowed to take any pictures! How did you manage to take yours?

Great photos! And a great blog too, I've been reading it for some time but hesitated to comment.

Loved the Scarface photo. Where in Athens did you take it -could I use it in my (greek-speaking) blog linking back here?

@ Iphimedeia: Sure, feel free to use the photo! I took it at a cafe in Kolonaki (at the corner of Aristodimou and Xenokratous). I couldn't believe it when I saw it, with the old guy there with his worry beads...

Thanks for reading!
